Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation and upkeep of plant assets. This role ensures that all maintenance requests are completed efficiently, safety standards are upheld, and equipment reliability is maximized.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and close maintenance service requests, including breakdown repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Manage and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians, ensuring quality and performance.
• Work within established maintenance expense limits and schedule preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate special projects and support external contractors, monitoring their work for compliance.
• Provide 24‑hour emergency maintenance coverage as required.
• Monitor building utilities, alert the Maintenance Manager to unusual occurrences, and enforce safety and GMP standards.
• Implement safety standards, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements, and maintain 5S practices in the workshop.
• Maintain the Plant Maintenance Master Plan, issue daily work orders, and track corrective and preventive actions.
• Support site projects during design, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Supervise external contractors and drive operational excellence to improve system efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in plant or industrial maintenance environments.
• Ability to implement and monitor safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
• Strong organizational skills to manage work orders, resources, and documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, GMP, and 5S methodologies.
• Effective communication with operations and maintenance teams.
