Mechanical Projects Manager – O&G Tanks Experience

About the role

PROFITUT is seeking a full‑time Mechanical Projects Manager with extensive experience in oil and gas tank projects. Based in 6 October, the role involves overseeing the complete lifecycle of mechanical projects, with regular site visits to Mostorod, Suez and Alexandria.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical projects from initiation through commissioning, ensuring they meet schedule, budget and quality targets.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and suppliers on‑site and in the technical office.
• Conduct inspections and enforce compliance with industry safety and quality standards.
• Manage resources, procurement and documentation for tank fabrication and maintenance.
• Maintain project timelines, risk registers and progress reports using MS Project.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of hands‑on construction experience, specifically in tank fabrication and maintenance.
• Proven track record managing mechanical projects in the oil and gas sector.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced use of MS Project for planning.
