Mechanical Site Engineer – Cairo

About the role

The Mechanical Site Engineer will lead the installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems on a construction site in Cairo. You will ensure all works meet project specifications, safety standards and local codes while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and execute mechanical works such as HVAC, plumbing, fire‑fighting, drainage and other building services on site.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications and technical documents to guarantee proper implementation.
• Monitor progress, quality and compliance with design documents, project schedule and safety standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and other disciplines (electrical, civil) for seamless service integration.
• Conduct site inspections, resolve technical and execution issues, and prepare daily/weekly reports.
• Assist in testing, commissioning and handover activities of mechanical systems.
• Ensure all activities comply with local codes and international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.).
• Guide subcontractors, allocate manpower and manage material handovers to the consultant.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical site supervision, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire‑fighting and sanitary systems.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, SMACNA, etc.).
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
