Order Handling Specialist

About the role

Join ABB’s Accounts Receivable team as an Order Handling Specialist, where you will ensure accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions while supporting the company’s mission to run leaner and cleaner industries.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounting transactions for the Accounts Receivable team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations.
• Manage payment receipts, allocate payments to customer accounts, and resolve payment‑related inquiries promptly.
• Send reminders for outstanding payments, follow up with customers, and escalate unresolved issues when necessary.
• Verify and reconcile incoming invoices, address discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and analyse reports on AR performance, aging, and collection progress, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Support internal control testing and documentation related to financial reporting compliance for accounts receivable.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business.
• At least 2 years of experience in credit/collections, accounts receivable, billing, or a customer‑facing role.
• Strong communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Self‑motivated with an assertive problem‑solving approach and a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
• Excellent time‑management, organisational, and prioritisation abilities.
