Pharmacist (Project Baise)

About the role

The Pharmacist will join a project‑focused team to ensure safe, accurate medication dispensing and patient counseling while supporting cold‑chain management of temperature‑sensitive drugs. This role combines clinical pharmacy practice with project reporting and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and provide patient‑focused counseling in line with local regulations and QA standards.
• Review prescriptions for safety, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care.
• Manage pharmaceutical inventory, storage, and accountability, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
• Oversee insulin and temperature‑sensitive drug integrity through end‑to‑end cold‑chain management, complying with national regulations and SOPs.
• Participate in implementing clinical guidelines, SOPs, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Assist with pharmacovigilance activities and adverse‑event reporting.
• Educate patients and staff on medication use, side effects, and adherence strategies.
• Support regulatory audits and ensure compliance with licensing, labeling, and documentation requirements.
• Contribute to project milestones, reporting, and outcome measurement as defined in the MOU.

Required profile

• Licensed Pharmacist.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least four years of relevant experience in hospital, community, or clinical settings, or a Master’s degree with at least two years of experience.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving orientation, and commitment to patient safety.
• Experience in collaborative healthcare projects or public‑health programmes is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of the refugee context in Egypt; French language is a plus.
