Pharmacy Assistant

About the role

The Pharmacy Assistant will work full‑time on‑site at Doss Pharmacies in Cairo, supporting daily pharmacy operations and ensuring customers receive accurate and courteous service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications according to prescriptions, including labeling and packaging.
• Greet customers, answer questions, handle transactions and manage phone inquiries professionally.
• Organise shelves, monitor stock levels, check expiry dates and support inventory management processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in collaboration with the pharmacy team.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with clear and courteous communication.
• Effective phone etiquette for handling inquiries and coordinating with healthcare providers.
• Attention to detail, reliability and ability to follow safety and confidentiality guidelines.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting and basic knowledge of common medications (preferred).
• Minimum high school diploma; a technical or pharmaceutical diploma is an advantage.
