Planning Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Planning Engineer to support the planning and scheduling of high‑profile construction projects across Egypt, KSA, Africa and beyond. The role involves developing detailed schedules, monitoring progress and ensuring timely delivery of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules aligned with contractual requirements and project objectives.
• Prepare baseline schedules, update progress regularly and identify schedule deviations.
• Track project performance against approved schedules and produce periodic progress reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with construction, procurement, engineering and site teams to collect updates and maintain schedule accuracy.
• Support the preparation of recovery plans, corrective actions and risk assessments.
• Maintain planning records and ensure compliance with ACC standards and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred).
• Graduate of The American University in Cairo (AUC) preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in planning and scheduling within construction projects.
• Strong analytical, reporting and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
