Procurement Representative – Direct Materials (Egypt & North Africa)

About the Role

Join Nalco, an Ecolab Company, as a Procurement Representative for Direct Materials, covering the Egypt and North Africa region. In this strategic role within our Supply Chain function, you will play a key part in driving operational excellence and sourcing initiatives for essential raw materials, packaging, and subcontracting.

Main Missions

• Manage and optimize a direct materials budget of approximately $15M annually.
• Drive strategic sourcing initiatives and execute e-auctions to achieve cost savings and improve working capital through optimized payment terms and inventory management.
• Ensure continuity of supply and strengthen supply chain resilience by identifying and qualifying alternative suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with Global Category Leads to implement and adapt global strategies to the local North African market.
• Manage supplier performance, lead complex negotiations, and ensure strict contractual compliance.
• Provide accurate financial reporting on savings, risks, and total cost/delivered cost performance.
• Support cross-functional projects and quality improvement initiatives.

Profile Required

• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, specifically with direct materials.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage high-value budgets.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and supply chain risks.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate with global stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
