Professor / Associate Professor / Lecturer in Digital Media Engineering

About the role

The German University in Cairo’s Faculty of Media Engineering and Technology invites applications for a full‑time faculty position in Digital Media Engineering and Technology, starting September 2026. The appointment can be at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor, or Lecturer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop research programmes in digital media engineering.
• Secure external research funding and manage research projects.
• Supervise graduate and undergraduate students.
• Design, deliver, and continuously improve undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Participate in departmental and university administrative duties.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in media engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in media processing research and publications.
• Strong commitment to high‑quality teaching and research in a multicultural environment.
• Interest in video processing and game design/development is highly desirable.
