Professor (Biotechnology & Nuclear Sciences)

About the role

The Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority seeks a full‑time Professor to join its research and teaching faculty in Cairo. The role combines academic instruction with cutting‑edge research in biotechnology and nuclear sciences, supporting national and regional scientific initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, seminars and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Conduct original research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and secure external funding.
• Supervise graduate theses, mentor early‑career researchers and contribute to collaborative projects.
• Participate in departmental committees, curriculum development and safety/ethical compliance.

Required profile

• PhD in biotechnology, nuclear science or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated record of research publications and experience at Associate Professor or Professor level is highly beneficial.
• Proven university‑level teaching experience, including course design and student assessment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
