Project Engineer – MEP (HVAC & Fire Fighting)

About the role

The company is seeking a Project Engineer to lead MEP construction projects with a focus on HVAC and fire‑fighting systems. The role involves overseeing design review, site supervision, and commissioning to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender packages and provide preliminary cost estimates.
• Check and coordinate shop and coordination drawings, and review technical submittals for equipment such as chillers, pumps, AHUs and panels.
• Perform value engineering to propose cost‑effective alternatives without compromising quality.
• Supervise site works, ensuring they follow drawings, specifications and schedule.
• Manage quality control activities including material inspection, method‑statement approval, ITPs, testing and commissioning.
• Ensure HSE compliance, including PPE, lifting plans and safety culture.
• Troubleshoot technical and operational issues on‑site and support clients.
• Lead project handover, preparing snag lists, as‑built documents and commissioning reports.
• Provide regular performance reports and coordinate with finance, supply chain and technical offices.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Proven experience in MEP construction, specifically HVAC and fire‑fighting systems; knowledge of light‑current is an advantage.
• Familiarity with local and international MEP codes and safety culture.
• Leadership abilities and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
