Projects General Manager

About the role

The Projects General Manager is accountable for delivering and verifying all projects within Gupco, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This senior position works closely with Dragon Oil standards and the Value Assurance Process to guarantee smooth transitions from project stages to operational hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and reporting for all Gupco projects.
• Integrate all required functions and manage relationships with external stakeholders.
• Maintain regular dialogue with Dragon Oil’s Director of Engineering, Projects & Integrity to align with business strategies.
• Ensure projects meet safety, cost, schedule, and quality commitments.
• Secure necessary permits and approvals on schedule.
• Apply verification models through stage‑gate reviews and monitor performance dashboards.
• Implement information‑management requirements, cost estimates, and regular progress reporting.
• Manage risks in line with Gupco Risk Management Practice and enforce Dragon Oil project delivery standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project delivery, preferably in oil & gas or large‑scale engineering.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary project teams and manage complex stakeholder environments.
