Proposal Manager – Commercial & Technical Operations

About the role

The Proposal Manager will support AIG’s commercial operations by preparing proposals, processing orders, and reviewing contractual terms while assisting Account Managers to ensure smooth and efficient business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Commercial responsibilities: prepare and issue technical and commercial submittals for tenders, manage the sales queue, follow up on open orders through delivery and invoicing, respond to customer inquiries, maintain the inquiry/order log, prepare win/loss reports, ensure agreed gross margin, and report any financial loss.
• Technical responsibilities: keep up‑to‑date technical knowledge of all products and solutions, assist the sales team with product updates, act as an escalation point for technical or design issues, and provide accurate technical clarifications to customers.
• Reporting and coordination: prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales reports, actively participate in sales meetings, and collaborate with logistics and finance to ensure order documentation is accurate and complete.
• Decision‑making responsibilities: make quote/decline decisions in coordination with the Sales Account Manager, define acceptable gross profit margins, prepare compliant technical submittals, negotiate commercial terms, and determine optimal delivery logistics while managing related costs.

• Experience preparing proposals, processing orders and reviewing contractual terms.
• Ability to support account managers and ensure smooth commercial operations.
