Regional Sales Manager – Electric Bus Fleet

About the role
The Regional Sales Manager will lead the promotion and sale of electric bus fleets within the assigned region. Reporting to the VP of Sales, the role combines market development, customer relationship management, and coordination of cross‑functional teams to win tenders and drive electrification of public transport.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the commercial vehicle market in Egypt (and South Africa) through market research, competitor analysis, and pricing strategy.
- Establish and nurture relationships with local governments, city officials, and key transport operators to advance electric bus adoption.
- Coordinate the BYD regional team—including sales assistant, tender specialist, and after‑sales staff—to prepare and submit tender bids.
- Lead the preparation of technical‑commercial proposals, pricing, and compliance with local regulations.
- Achieve sales volume and profitability targets while ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Report pipeline status, margin performance, and improvement opportunities to senior management.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sales Manager or Country Manager in the automotive sector, preferably bus and truck sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field.
- Fluent English and proficiency in an Egyptian language.
- Strong negotiation, value‑added selling, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work with multicultural teams and lead a regional sales unit.
