Reliability Maintenance Engineer – Amazon

About the role

Join Amazon’s Reliability Maintenance Engineering team to ensure the safety, availability and performance of material handling equipment across the global warehouse and delivery network. You will work hands‑on as a subject‑matter expert, coaching technicians and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Model and enforce health‑and‑safety best practices on shift.
• Provide SME knowledge on all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and act as the primary troubleshooter.
• Coach and mentor technicians, and support the line manager in supervising the shift.
• Maintain high equipment availability by prioritising work, troubleshooting issues and managing contractors.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects across the AMET network and monitor OEE metrics.
• Develop strong relationships with internal customers and stakeholders at all levels.

Required profile

• 6+ years experience using a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for planning, scheduling and auditing maintenance activities.
• 6+ years proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• 1+ year experience working with computers and related software tools.
• Flexibility to work non‑traditional shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays, with up to 15% travel.
• Knowledge of diverse material handling, industrial mechanical and electrical systems, automation, controls and robotics.
