Remote Tekla Structures Designer & Structural Steel Detailer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Detailer & Design Engineer to work remotely, bridging the gap between structural design and construction. You will create precise 3D models, verify designs, and produce detailed documentation for steel fabrication and erection.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D models using Tekla Structures and AutoCAD.
• Produce fabrication, general arrangement, assembly, erection, and as‑built drawings.
• Generate shop drawings, NC files, bills of materials and material take‑offs.
• Perform structural analysis and design checks with SAP2000 and STAAD.Pro, covering dead, live, wind and equipment loads.
• Validate connections, ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, civil and MEP engineers.
• Review IFC drawings, specifications and contracts, and support fabrication and site installation.
• Prepare RFIs and provide technical clarifications during project meetings.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, SAP2000 and STAAD.Pro.
• Strong background in structural steel detailing and connection calculations.
• Ability to anticipate and resolve fabrication or installation clashes.
• Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary coordination.
