Resident Computing Engineer

About the role

The Resident Computing Engineer delivers technical services for enterprise computing infrastructure at customer sites. Working closely with implementation teams and project managers, you will deploy, configure and support virtualization, backup and Microsoft solutions to ensure system availability, performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and support enterprise computing infrastructure solutions.
• Deploy and manage Dell VxRail infrastructure.
• Install, configure and administer VMware ESXi, vCenter and NSX environments.
• Configure and manage ExaGrid storage solutions.
• Install, configure and maintain Veeam Backup & Replication (on‑premises and cloud).
• Administer Microsoft infrastructure services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy (GPO) and WSUS.
• Manage VxRail hosts, virtual machines and virtualization resources.
• Monitor infrastructure health, system performance and storage utilization.
• Perform preventive maintenance and health checks on servers, storage and virtualization platforms.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to servers, storage, VMware and Microsoft solutions.
• Create and maintain infrastructure and network diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
• Prepare technical documentation, implementation reports and “As‑Built” documentation.
• Provide technical recommendations and guidance for infrastructure improvements.
• Support implementation activities and coordinate with Project Managers during execution.
• Update customer service requests through internal ticketing systems and ensure compliance with company standards and security policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Hands‑on experience with Dell VxRail, VMware ESXi, vCenter, NSX, Veeam Backup & Replication and Microsoft Domain Controllers.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy (GPO) and WSUS.
• Good understanding of virtualization technologies and enterprise infrastructure.
• Basic network troubleshooting skills and basic project‑management concepts.
• Experience working within technical implementation and support teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visio for creating infrastructure and network diagrams.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and customer‑service orientation.
