Senior Associate, Platform & Cloud DevOps

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Associate to lead Platform & Cloud DevOps initiatives for PwC’s Cairo team. The role involves designing, implementing and maintaining secure, scalable DevOps pipelines across multiple cloud environments while collaborating with software, AI, data, operations and security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and coach junior engineers in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure and automation.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for stakeholders, communicating progress, risks and aligning solutions with business objectives.
• Design, build and continuously optimise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or cloud‑native tools (GCP Cloud Build, AWS CodePipeline).
• Integrate security testing, vulnerability scanning and compliance checks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) into the pipeline using cloud‑native security services.
• Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM templates and manage monitoring, logging and performance with tools such as Google Cloud Operations Suite, CloudWatch or Grafana.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience delivering at least four DevOps projects, with hands‑on work on two different DevOps solutions for a minimum of six months each.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and drive best‑practice adoption.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder management and clear reporting.

Required skills

• Cloud platforms: GCP, AWS, Azure (including Kubernetes, serverless functions, managed databases).
• CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GCP Cloud Build, AWS CodePipeline.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (preferred), AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM templates.
• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (GKE preferred, EKS/AKS acceptable).
• Monitoring & logging: Google Cloud Operations Suite, AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
• Security tools: Google Cloud Security Command Center, AWS GuardDuty, Azure Sentinel, AWS Security Hub.
