Senior DevOps Engineer – AI Startup

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and cloud environments for KNOT Technologies, an AI‑driven event ticketing startup. The role will collaborate with software, product and security teams to build scalable, secure and highly available systems that serve thousands of event organizers and attendees.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain highly available, secure and scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Build, optimize and manage CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor application performance, infrastructure health and system reliability with modern observability tools.
• Implement and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage cloud networking, security groups, IAM policies, secrets management and access controls.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis and post‑incident improvements.
• Ensure platform security through infrastructure hardening, vulnerability management and compliance.
• Develop disaster recovery, backup and business continuity solutions.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability and cost efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and support production systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong experience with AWS (preferred) or Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
