Senior Logistics Operation Specialist

About the role

Nowlun, the first digital freight forwarder in the MENA region, is seeking a Senior Logistics Operation Specialist to ensure smooth, efficient logistics operations across its network. You will work closely with multiple departments to optimise shipping processes, boost customer satisfaction, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily logistics operations, guaranteeing timely delivery of shipments.
• Analyse and optimise import/export processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and procurement teams to align logistics activities with business goals.
• Monitor compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
• Train and mentor junior logistics team members on best practices.
• Handle complex logistics queries, troubleshoot issues, and provide effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments and transactions.
• Utilise logistics software to track shipments, inventory, and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics operations or freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles.
• Proven track record managing complex shipping processes and improving operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in logistics software and tracking systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
