Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – BIM Lead

About the role

Lead and manage the Mechanical BIM team to deliver coordinated, accurate BIM models and shop drawings for HVAC, plumbing, fire‑fighting, medical‑gas and related mechanical systems. Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes and internal quality standards while supporting productivity and multidisciplinary coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate resources, monitor progress and mitigate risks for the Mechanical BIM team.
• Oversee BIM model development, shop drawing production, quantity take‑offs and ensure they are submission‑ready.
• Conduct senior‑level technical reviews, verify code compliance and constructability.
• Lead clash detection, assign corrective actions and follow up on resolution.
• Track deliverables against schedules, prepare progress reports and manage risk escalations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of experience in mechanical design and BIM coordination.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage workloads and communicate with stakeholders.
