Senior Mechanical Site Engineer

About the role

Alkarmadevelopments is looking for a Senior Mechanical Site Engineer to lead the mechanical discipline on high‑end residential and commercial construction projects. You will ensure all mechanical works are executed to the highest quality, safety, and schedule standards.

Key responsibilities

• Estimate, plan and allocate resources (manpower, materials, equipment) for all mechanical works.
• Analyse construction methodologies and recommend optimal solutions to the MEP Manager.
• Interpret construction drawings, contract documents and applicable standards before execution.
• Provide direct engineering and technical support to on‑site mechanical teams.
• Coordinate mechanical activities with electrical and civil groups.
• Prepare daily site reports, inspection requests, estimates and progress monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and local/international standards.
• Maintain quality and safety standards for all mechanical activities.
• Resolve unexpected technical issues on‑site promptly.
• Collaborate with cost control and planning for daily progress reporting.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and site staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment and construction codes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
