Senior Operations Specialist – Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Operations Specialist to manage the handling and movement of international shipments, including FCL, LCL consolidation and air freight. The role involves coordinating with shipping lines, customs agents and global customers to ensure timely delivery under the appropriate Incoterms.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee workflow of business processes, prepare reports, charts and statistics for the logistics department.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, transporters and customs clearance agents to resolve issues and keep system data up‑to‑date.
• Maintain relationships with global customers, ensuring requirements are met within deadlines.
• Analyze data to identify problematic areas, suggest improvements and implement supply‑chain optimization projects.
• Evaluate vendor operations (e.g., freight forwarders) against quality standards and discover cost‑effective shipping modes.

Required profile

• Fluent in English (must).
• Freight forwarder experience (2‑4 years) is required.
• Presentable, hard‑working, flexible and innovative with strong multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Working knowledge of relational databases.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Data mining, analysis and reporting capabilities.
