Senior Project Controls Engineer – Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer to lead planning, monitoring, cost control, and performance management for our construction projects. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and update baseline schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor actual progress versus planned progress, identify delays, and develop recovery or acceleration plans.
• Develop and maintain cash‑flow, manpower, procurement, and resource schedules.
• Track project costs, commitments, actual expenditures, and forecast cost at completion (EAC).
• Produce weekly and monthly project controls reports for management.
• Coordinate with site, technical office, procurement, commercial, and finance teams.
• Support delay analysis, extension‑of‑time claims, and impact assessments.
• Identify project risks early and provide warnings to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in planning/project controls within construction or contracting firms.
• Strong knowledge of planning, cost control, forecasting, cash‑flow management, and progress measurement.
• Experience on large‑scale construction projects is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of contracts, delays, variations, and claims.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and challenge inaccurate progress data.
