Senior Purchasing Officer

About the role

The Senior Purchasing Officer will lead procurement activities for a poultry processing and food manufacturing company, ensuring the timely supply of raw materials, packaging, operational supplies and spare parts. The role focuses on building strategic supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and driving cost efficiency across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the company's procurement activities and guarantee timely availability of required materials and supplies.
• Source, evaluate, and develop strategic relationships with suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve the best value for the company.
• Monitor purchase orders and supplier performance to ensure quality and on‑time delivery.
• Coordinate with internal departments to fulfill operational and production requirements.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement.
• Proven experience in poultry processing companies, slaughterhouses, or food manufacturing industries.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing raw materials, packaging materials, operational supplies, and spare parts.
• Excellent negotiation, supplier management, and contract administration skills.
• Experience in supplier evaluation, cost analysis, and procurement planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Preferably residing in Obour City or nearby areas.
