Senior Quality Control Engineer - Mechanical

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Control Engineer specialized in mechanical systems to ensure that all designs, installations and testing activities meet the highest standards of safety, performance and regulatory compliance. The role involves close collaboration with project teams, field mechanics and testing laboratories to deliver quality‑focused outcomes on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Review mechanical designs, drawings and specifications for compliance with applicable codes, standards and project requirements.
• Conduct on‑site inspections of mechanical installations, equipment and systems to evaluate workmanship, materials and performance.
• Coordinate with testing laboratories to oversee functional, efficiency and safety testing of mechanical systems.
• Identify quality issues, develop corrective actions and track their implementation.
• Maintain detailed quality control records, reports and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and training to field mechanics on quality control best practices.
• Work closely with project managers to achieve mechanical quality objectives within schedule and budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of relevant mechanical codes, standards and industry regulations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and collaboration abilities.
