Senior Structural Site Engineer

About the role

Sabbour Consulting is seeking a Senior Structural Site Engineer to lead and supervise all structural engineering activities on construction sites. You will ensure that works are executed in line with approved drawings, calculations, specifications and quality standards while providing technical guidance to the site team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise structural site engineers, technicians and subcontractors.
• Ensure correct execution of concrete, steel, foundations and reinforcement works.
• Review and approve shop drawings, method statements and technical submittals.
• Monitor workmanship and materials for compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with design, MEP and architectural teams to resolve technical issues.
• Provide expert advice for complex on‑site structural challenges.
• Inspect and approve delivered materials and structural components.
• Conduct inspections, tests and verification of structural elements.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly progress and quality reports.
• Maintain accurate records for audits and project handover.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a structural focus.
• 8–12 years of structural site engineering experience.
• 3–5 years in a senior supervisory role on large‑scale projects.
• Experience with high‑rise buildings, bridges or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, coordination and communication abilities.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
