Senior Technical Office Engineer – Architecture

About the role

Sabbour Consulting is seeking a Senior Technical Office Engineer specialized in architecture to lead the management of architectural documentation, ensure design compliance, and support site execution across its projects in Egypt and the region.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate architectural design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals for compliance with project specifications and design intent.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and MEP disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Prepare and review method statements, RFIs, and technical reports related to architectural works.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed drawings for permits, construction, and finishing works.
• Provide technical support to site teams and resolve design‑related queries.
• Ensure all architectural documentation aligns with local regulations, codes, and client standards.
• Supervise the preparation of as‑built drawings and project close‑out documentation.
• Participate in value engineering and project optimisation discussions.
• Mentor junior architectural engineers and technicians within the technical office.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering.
• 7–10 years of experience in a technical office role within architecture or multidisciplinary consulting firms.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, zoning laws, and international standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and design coordination abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
