Software Engineer – Python/Django (Global)

About the role

Orange Business is looking for a Software Engineer to join its global automation and digitisation team. You will work on both internal and customer‑facing projects, designing and delivering scalable solutions that support the company’s worldwide operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions that meet internal and external customer requirements, ensuring scalability and operational efficiency.
• Develop and deliver software components on schedule, following professional engineering best practices.
• Maintain coding standards, conduct code reviews, manage source control, set up build processes, and perform unit testing.
• Define requirements and acceptance tests, leveraging expertise in Microsoft SQL, MySQL, cloud platforms, API creation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support production software by fixing bugs, adding features, and contributing to the roadmap of solutions.
• Report KPIs, activity, and project progress to promote transparency and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and the Django framework.
• Experience with .Net, NodeRed, React or similar technologies is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL, MySQL, CI/CD concepts, and cloud environments.
• Fluent English; French is an advantage.
• Familiarity with service‑oriented architectures and Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple time zones.
