Software Project Coordinator

About the role

The Software Project Coordinator supports the planning, tracking, and day‑to‑day execution of software development initiatives. Working closely with the Software Project Manager, developers, QA, and product owners, the role ensures Agile ceremonies run smoothly, project data in Jira and MS Project stays accurate, and communication flows efficiently across the team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Software Project Manager in coordinating activities across the software development lifecycle using Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid practices.
• Schedule and organize sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives and track action items, flagging risks or blockers.
• Maintain project plans, schedules, and trackers in MS Project 365 and Jira; configure boards, workflows, and dashboards.
• Generate routine status reports and support time‑tracking, effort logging, and sprint data entry for development and QA workstreams.
• Track basic cost and effort data against the approved budget, compile documentation on resource usage, timesheets, and project expenses.

Required profile

• Experience supporting Agile ceremonies and coordinating software development activities.
• Familiarity with project tracking tools such as Jira and MS Project 365.
• Ability to monitor budgets, document project data, and communicate status to stakeholders.
