Software QA Test Engineer (Manual & Automation)

About the role

iBrokerage Ltd., a Canadian web‑application development company, is looking for a hands‑on Software QA Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability and usability of its web portals. The role is fully remote and focuses on both thorough manual testing and the creation of automated test scripts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, write and execute detailed manual test cases, including exploratory and ad‑hoc testing to uncover UI/UX issues.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium or Playwright.
• Log comprehensive bug reports with reproduction steps and screenshots, and collaborate with developers to verify fixes.
• Conduct regression testing – both manual and automated – to ensure new releases do not break existing functionality.
• Participate in agile sprint meetings, provide QA estimates and advocate for user experience.
• Create application workflows and diagrams with Lucidchart to visualise system behaviour.
• Assist in preparing user manuals and documentation for system features and updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in manual web testing combined with automation.
• Strong ability to translate complex requirements into thorough test plans.
• Experience working in an agile environment and communicating effectively with development teams.
