Software Quality Engineering Manager

About the role

Unifonic is looking for a seasoned Software Quality Engineering Manager to lead its testing organization. You will own the quality strategy for web and mobile products, drive automation, and ensure AI‑native features meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of SDETs, handling hiring, performance, and career development.
• Support multiple scrum teams with test estimation, planning, and execution for web and mobile applications.
• Own the end‑to‑end Release Management process across all products.
• Maintain test case coverage, defect reporting, and quality metrics.
• Design, implement, and scale automated UI and API testing frameworks.
• Champion QA best practices and lightweight checks to prevent regressions.
• Define QA approaches for AI‑native features, including LLM/agent output validation.
• Lead special initiatives such as process improvements, tool evaluation, and framework development.

Required profile

• 10+ years of development or testing experience.
• 7+ years in quality engineering roles testing large‑scale, customer‑facing systems.
• 3+ years managing SDET teams with responsibility for hiring and performance.
• Proven experience with complex distributed integrations and AI‑driven products.
