Stock Management Specialist – Material Planner

About the role

The Stock Management Specialist, also known as a Material Planner, ensures that production lines receive the right materials at the right time. By coordinating closely with suppliers and internal teams, the role supports efficient manufacturing schedules while keeping inventory costs low.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and forecast material requirements using MRP and other planning software.
• Coordinate with production and purchasing departments to guarantee adequate supply.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure timely deliveries.
• Manage inventory levels and apply JIT and Kanban principles to optimise material flow.
• Analyse demand forecasts and adjust plans to minimise waste and cost.

Required profile

Required skills

• Experience with MRP systems
• Knowledge of Just‑In‑Time (JIT) methodology
• Familiarity with Kanban inventory control
