Supply Chain Planner

About the role

Ball, a global leader in sustainable aluminium packaging, is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to support supply and production planning activities. The role ensures timely material availability, effective inventory management, and fulfillment of customer demand across domestic and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales teams to improve forecast accuracy and meet customer demand.
• Create and maintain supply and production plans aligned with central planning targets.
• Coordinate metal and ends supply planning and communicate plans to stakeholders.
• Develop production schedules while considering maintenance, holidays, and capacity constraints.
• Raise, manage, and expedite purchase orders through the MRP system.
• Monitor stock levels of finished goods, metal, and ends, identifying risks and communicating issues.
• Support inventory control, replenishment, and optimal stock levels across the supply chain.
• Use SAP for planning, reporting, and data maintenance.
• Prepare regular planning, inventory, and variance reports and conduct data analysis.
• Coordinate delivery timelines with logistics teams and support phase‑in/phase‑out activities for new materials and products.

Required profile

• University degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in planning, procurement or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with MRP systems (SAP preferred).
• Strong analytical, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
