Team Leader Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Team Leader Mechanical Engineer will be based on‑site in Ain Sokhna, Egypt, overseeing mechanical engineering activities for infrastructure and building projects. This full‑time position involves leading design teams, coordinating CAD work, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role also supports construction and commissioning phases while contributing to R&D initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor mechanical design teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Coordinate and review CAD drawings, models, and calculations.
• Ensure all mechanical solutions comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Plan, monitor, and report on project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, civil, and HVAC engineers.
• Provide technical support during construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Contribute to research and development activities to evaluate new technologies and improve engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience leading mechanical design teams on complex infrastructure or building projects.
• Strong project management capabilities, including planning, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience in research and development, with ability to assess and integrate new technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
