Technical Office Civil Engineer

About the role

The Technical Office Civil Engineer will support project teams by managing quantity take‑offs, reviewing and updating drawings, and handling variation orders. This role ensures that all technical documentation complies with engineering standards and project specifications, providing accurate data for successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and calculate quantities for materials and items (BOQ) and verify accuracy against tender documents.
• Prepare, follow up, and document variation orders and scope changes.
• Coordinate with design, execution, and project management teams to align drawings and quantities with site requirements.
• Review drawings from designers, contractors, and suppliers for compliance with technical specifications.
• Modify drawings based on site feedback or engineering consultant input.
• Ensure all calculations and drawings meet company standards, approved engineering codes, and project specifications.
• Produce periodic technical reports documenting changes and updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of practical experience in a technical office environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Solid knowledge of engineering standards and construction codes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Revit (preferred).
• Familiarity with Navisworks (preferred).
