Technical Procurement Specialist – Mechanical Spare Parts

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing of mechanical spare parts, equipment and consumables for a cement plant. The role ensures continuous production by handling the full procurement cycle and collaborating with internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of mechanical spare parts, rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes and industrial machinery.
• Review technical specifications, BOQs and engineering drawings with Mechanical and Maintenance teams.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with local and international suppliers for specialized parts.
• Develop supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing, quality and reliable delivery.
• Create RFQs, issue purchase orders, track deliveries and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Collaborate with production, planning, maintenance and warehouse teams to forecast material needs and optimise inventory.
• Monitor market trends and adjust sourcing strategies to mitigate supply‑chain risks.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations and sustainability standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 1 to 4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in cement, heavy industry or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.
