Utilities Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

Utilities Engineer is responsible for ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient operation of all plant utility systems, including air compressors, AHUs, chillers, boilers, generators, and electrical distribution systems (MDBs). The role supports plant productivity and sustainability goals through effective preventive and condition‑based maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of plant utilities (air compressors, AHUs, chillers, boilers, generators, MDBs).
• Ensure equipment availability, reliability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Apply CBM tools and techniques to predict failures and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Lead utility‑related CAPEX and energy‑efficiency projects.
• Support sustainability goals such as energy saving, water management, and emissions reduction.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations for boilers, pressure vessels, ammonia systems, and electrical equipment.
• Provide technical support during audits and inspections.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and EHS to meet operational needs.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical guidance for utilities‑related breakdowns.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• 0‑2 years of experience in FMCG or a similar process industry.
• Solid knowledge of utilities systems (chillers, air compressors, AHUs, boilers, WWTP, generators, MDBs).
• Experience with TPM, RCA, CBM and reliability‑centered maintenance tools.
• Strong knowledge of safety and regulatory standards for boilers, pressure systems, ammonia, and electrical equipment.
