Waste Management Design Engineer

About the role

Join our award‑winning specialist consultancy as a Waste Management Design Engineer, supporting the delivery of waste management projects across buildings, master plans and community‑scale developments. You will work under senior team members to develop waste strategies, conduct technical analyses and contribute to multidisciplinary project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation of waste management strategies for various project scales.
• Collect, analyse and interpret waste generation and operations data.
• Assist in waste generation assessments and preliminary sizing of facilities such as MRFs, composting plants, transfer stations and landfills.
• Contribute to feasibility and techno‑economic assessments, including baseline analysis, benchmarking and cost inputs.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, calculations and presentation materials.
• Support regulatory compliance reviews and alignment with local and international best practice.
• Participate in client meetings, workshops and coordination sessions alongside senior team members.
• Assist with project scheduling, task tracking and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Provide research input for business development, proposals and marketing material.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Waste Management, Environmental Engineering/Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in waste management consultancy or a closely related environmental field.
• Knowledge of recycling systems, waste treatment processes and disposal methods.
• Familiarity with sustainability and circular‑economy frameworks such as LEED, Estidama or Mostadam.
• Experience preparing technical reports and consultancy deliverables.
