Accountant – Accounts Payable & General Ledger

About the role

The Accountant will manage day‑to‑day accounts payable operations, ensure accurate general ledger maintenance, and support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities. The role requires close collaboration with internal departments and external vendors to maintain smooth financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Process PO and non‑PO invoices, manage payment cycles, and handle expense reimbursements.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) cycle, providing impact assessments and status reports.
• Analyze and reconcile the general ledger and GR/IR accounts, including detailed aging analysis.
• Track supplier delivery performance and resolve late order issues.
• Communicate accounts payable policies, finance policies, and approval levels to business partners.
• Post intercompany journal entries for cross‑company locations.
• Manage petty cash reimbursements for agency funds.
• Conduct month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities and perform monthly accounts payable confirmations.
• Coordinate related‑party confirmations and reconcile variances.
• Collaborate with vendor master data teams for supplier onboarding and profile updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with an English section.
• 0–2 years of experience in a similar accounting position.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards (EAS).
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
