Accountant – Full‑time Finance Role

About the role

The Accountant will join Al Sharkawy Advanced Systems in Cairo, supporting daily financial operations for a fast‑growing construction and engineering company. This full‑time, on‑site position involves handling journal entries, managing payables and receivables, and ensuring accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Record and post journal entries and maintain ledgers.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and expense tracking.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare invoices, monitor expenses, and assist with budgeting processes.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Produce financial reports and analyses for management.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Collaborate with internal departments, external auditors, and vendors.

Required profile

• Strong general accounting knowledge, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and expense tracking.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and basic financial analysis.
• Solid understanding of local Egyptian accounting standards and tax compliance.
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA is a plus.
• Prior experience in construction, engineering, or industrial sectors is preferred but not required.
