Accounting Manager – Trading & Import Business

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead full‑cycle accounting for a Cairo‑based logistics, supply chain and international trading company. You will ensure accurate recording of import‑related transactions and compliance with local tax, VAT and customs regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounting for trading and import operations.
• Record and reconcile customs duties, freight, insurance, clearing charges and other import‑related transactions.
• Monitor inventory accounting, valuation and cost of goods sold.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT, customs and regulatory requirements.
• Handle bank reconciliations, supplier accounts and foreign‑currency transactions.
• Coordinate with customs agents, banks, auditors and tax consultants.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Review and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
• Supervise junior accounting staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• At least 6 years of accounting experience, preferably in trading/import.
• Solid understanding of import/export documentation and costing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Very good written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
