Associate Director – MENA Markets – IBU Alliance Manager

About the role

This position partners with the General Manager to coordinate commercial activities across 12 MENA markets, applying Lilly’s alliance model for distribution and promotion. The Alliance Manager ensures effective collaboration with external partners and drives performance against defined KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead governance meetings with Lilly and external partners, ensuring alignment on business objectives.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Medical, Legal, Regulatory) to fulfill contractual obligations.
• Co‑lead forecasting of annual purchase targets and minimum purchase requirements.
• Support partners on pre‑launch preparation, new SKU introductions and market‑specific strategies.
• Monitor and report monthly performance scorecards, escalating issues as needed.
• Maintain external market connections to understand dynamics, risks, opportunities and regulatory updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of sales management experience; marketing, business development or finance background is a plus.
• Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills with a strategic mindset.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, influence and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Required skills

• Proficiency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Knowledge of diabetes, oncology and immunology therapeutic areas.
• Strong compliance discipline and familiarity with alliance contracts.
