About the role
SGS, a global testing, inspection and certification company, is hiring a Collection Accountant Officer in Cairo. The role focuses on recovering delinquent customer accounts through contact and follow-up.
Key responsibilities
- Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts by mail, telephone or personal visit to solicit payment.
- Receive payments and post them to the customer's account.
- Prepare statements for the credit department if the customer does not respond.
- Initiate repossession proceedings or service disconnection where applicable, and keep records of collection activity and account status.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree (a Bachelor of Commerce preferred).
- Very good English.
- 2-3 years of experience in the collection field or a similar position.
- Willingness to make customer visits when needed, with about 25% travel within Egypt.
Required skills
- Solid communication skills and active listening.
- Attention to detail and follow-up skills.
