Cost Accountant Supervisor – Construction

About the role

The Cost Accountant Supervisor will establish and lead the Cost Accounting Department for construction projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the Cost Accounting Department, its procedures, and cost‑center structure for projects.
• Review contractors' payment certificates, match them with contracts, and monitor contractor status.
• Allocate costs to units, calculate cost per meter and cost of delivered units.
• Prepare monthly cost reports for each project, compare them to budgets and analyse variances.
• Participate in preparing project estimated budgets and closing cost accounts monthly.
• Coordinate with General Accounting and Engineering, and support ERP implementation in Cost Accounting.
• Build and train the department team, and monitor performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce – Accounting.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, including 6 years in real‑estate development.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience as a Section Head or Cost Team Supervisor.
• Experience in monthly closing, financial statement preparation, and contractors' payment certificates.
• Knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards and contracting taxes.
