About the role
Lead the accounting, tax and financial reporting function for a global life sciences company, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and the general ledger.
- Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and manage statutory reporting and audits.
- Direct tax planning, compliance and filings including corporate tax, VAT and withholding tax.
- Maintain compliance with IFRS and local GAAP, and manage relationships with tax authorities and auditors.
- Implement internal controls, drive process improvements and system enhancements (ERP).
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA/ACCA preferred.
- 10–15 years of experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience in Egyptian and regional tax regulations.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting and experience in manufacturing or pharma.
Required skills
- ERP systems – SAP.
