Delivery Specialist

About the role

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for safely operating store vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers. The role also includes handling cash on C.O.D. deliveries, processing customer returns, and providing basic in‑store support when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products efficiently and safely.
• Use fleet‑management hand‑held devices to capture signatures, update mileage, and complete daily inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform pre‑trip inspections, and secure keys, fuel cards, devices, and collected monies.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores) and complete driver return slips.
• Communicate customer issues or special needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage immediately.
• Refuel vehicles, lock and secure them at the end of the day, and clock in/out per policy.
• Assist with additional duties such as stocking, merchandising, sweeping, handling core returns, and occasional cashier tasks.

Required profile

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Adaptability to changing delivery situations.
• Valid state driver’s license and a driving record that meets the company’s 14/18‑point system.
• Eligibility to meet company driving requirements.
• Bilingual candidates, especially Spanish speakers, are encouraged.
• Familiarity with automotive parts and ability to operate light store equipment.
