Export Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Export Logistics Specialist ensures smooth execution of international shipping operations, from contract implementation to final delivery at the destination port. This role supports managerial decisions through data analysis and maintains compliance with trade regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Apply and maintain client contractual agreements for export logistics operations.
• Maintain data flow and prepare analyses on international trade regulations and export standards.
• Book vessel spaces, slots, and container types for sea or air freight based on Booking Order Forms.
• Send RFQs to third‑party logistics providers and steamship lines, negotiating rates and transit times.
• Issue Shipping and Insurance Declaration Forms for export shipments.
• Prepare, collect, and process mandatory export documents such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and Bills of Lading.
• Coordinate with customs brokers for domestic export clearance and ensure proper documentation for destination clearance.
• Review, verify, and follow up on payment requests and invoices from freight forwarders and shipping lines.
• Submit weekly statistical reports and continuously update shipping quotation and freight rate databases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in export logistics or freight forwarding.
• Strong understanding of ocean/air freight operations, Incoterms, and international trade regulations.
• Familiarity with Nafeza (ACI system) and CargoX platforms is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English for communication with international partners.
