General Manager – Food Ingredients Business

About the role

We are seeking a General Manager to lead a fast‑growing B2B food ingredients company operating in Egypt. The role carries full P&L responsibility and spans commercial growth, manufacturing, finance, R&D and people management.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth and margin improvement across dairy, beverage, bakery and other food manufacturers.
• Strengthen key account relationships and expand the customer base in Egypt, the GCC and export markets.
• Collaborate with technical, R&D and sales teams to turn application needs into commercially viable products.
• Improve manufacturing performance – capacity utilization, yield, service levels, quality and cost control – while maintaining food safety standards.
• Build and lead a capable management team, ensuring accountability and talent development.

Required profile

• Proven senior commercial or general‑management experience in food ingredients or related B2B food manufacturing.
• Demonstrated full P&L ownership with a track record of revenue growth and cash discipline.
• Strong network with dairy, beverage, bakery or confectionery customers.
• Experience operating in Egypt or similar emerging markets where currency and working‑capital pressures are significant.
• Ability to influence both customer procurement teams and internal plant operations.
