GL Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger (GL) Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. You will lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities, prepare key financial reports, and support both internal and external audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on schedule.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to guarantee accurate financial data.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1.5 to 3 years of experience in General Ledger or accounting functions.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
